Leeches and the Cleaner

It’s been a sad week, all over the world media hovering around Mumbai. It’s ‘a Wednesday’ that I hope to happened but happened with a total script change. “Condolences for all the suffering and suffered families. Salute to the Brave hearts”. It’s been a regular scene in Mumbai, suffering since1992. Government whom we appointed for keeping the law and order are busing blaming each other. Find a television camera make politically sellable story and get the publicity. The useless channels go behind the “controversy” rather than news. Consistently, inconsistent intelligence network, news sharing between agencies. But after all the events the Intelligence Bureau’s consistent statement “we have cautioned the state authorities”.

After all, I appoint a cleaner to clean the house, but that bloody-guy is not cleaning, but make my house a play ground for all the nasty games, Will you keep your mouth shut ? But I do, because I used to it, rather we all used to it. I am ashamed by the assault made by leaches. So, what I do ?. I think for two days, discuss with whom ever I find, write a frustrating article, mail it to all and sleep nicely, like a helpless ass. I decide not to go behind the leaches since I am unable to handle the pest and go to Mumbai and help the NSG. But I can even do that with out the pest. Yes, I have to screw my cleaner (bloody servant), and make him clean my home back like the plain-old-clean house full of jasmines and lotus. Here the scenario is quite different, lot of cleaners, lot of owners but only one house. Scenario might be different but our aim is the same, to clean the house.

So, put your concise effort in every single move you make. Even, if you spend one rupee think whether it can used to clean. Remember we have a lot to clean. Be responsible, ask questions, and take a straight route even if it takes years to go. This should be our first step towards cleaning our house. We should not be the “Common stupid man” again.

Let’s make our house clean and green again.
Jai Hind.

Law of interesting work

I don’t understand a hell or I don’t give a damn what I don’t like. It’s the statement I made to my TL i.e. Technical Leader a person who is old enough to advise some one technically and who can lead a team of fresher man, techie and pseudo techie. I clash with my TL most of the times not technically but in understanding people’s mentality towards work, work allocation, people understanding and motivation. I simply call it team dynamics. I feel it changes from team to team.

Just got a sandwich and sat with my colleague for breakfast, my TL who’s my favorite tea-mate just joined us. We chatted from elections to evolutions to Ileana. Our discussion about the team and team dynamics are never ending.

One heated argument was “if same work is allocated to a person multiple times, it improves work efficiency and the understanding of the problem”. I really gone mad for his statement and said it pure bullshit it’s going to improve nothing, the work is gonna suck the interest of a person if it is an uninteresting problem. I hope he would have meant an interesting problem:).

I do really feel bored to do the same work, again and again and again. Personally I will do first time good, second time better and third time worst**:) (** If I am not interested). At uninterested work times I feel I should show un-interest in my interest;).

I think my TL had a point too, if his entire team asks for an interesting (“by law”) work, if he has time-bounded activities to be completed, what he can do? Business can’t go on personal interest or the individual employee’s interest; it always goes for money.

By law:

  1. All work are not interesting
  2. Interesting work always have lesser time (Amount of time for work)
  3. Interesting work is always less (Amount for work)
  4. Interesting work at all times are not interesting
  5. Uninteresting work with more time is interesting (lot of leisure time)
  6. Uninteresting work done by your buddy is interesting for you (Other side is always green)

Finally, I lost my interest in writing this :(. CY…

Budgeting Water

1 bucket of water is sold for 1 rupee and 1 glass for 25 paisa. In Gujarat, people in some areas were issued ration cards for water. It's a pathetic situation. This is one side of a problem were water is not available. Yet, another report states in major 11 cities out of 3000 million litres about 726 million litres of water is wasted in a day. So, not only save oil but also water, in future people might hedge on commodity named 'water', that might impact your montly budget :)..

After stating about water, one question arises, Is water only faces such a pathetic situation? No, nobody will think so, I guess...

Thanks to the hoardings, that you see in and around the city will give us a better picture. I wish to list out a few.

  1. Save oil, Save India.
  2. Plant a tree
  3. Say no to Plastic
  4. Globe is hot saying "Global Warming", Thanks to lighting companies, my electrical shop guy lectures about global warming.
  5. Save Power.
  6. Greener world associations

And lot more. I am confused, which organization to join and which one to contribute, I
finally decided not to join any organization. Better to be a part of all by writing it in a blog and to educate my friends and family :)...

So I guess the message would leave some thought in your minds…

My 8.30am Bus

May be I am right! No may be I am wrong! Do I think selfish, why I shouldn’t think that? Why didn’t I get that, even when I paid for it? Why the hell it didn’t work? These are just a few questions we ask when we have paid for some service and when we are denied or not served at the right moment. Hold on with this thought. One of such situation.

I waited for a bus in Indian Silicon Valley in a popular bus stop in the early morning (8.30 am) for more than 40 minutes. Even then I couldn’t find a space in the bus. I ran around 3 to 4 buses because it didn’t stop in the bus stop, he didn’t find space to stop :). I could not find space in or around the bus, rather I found on the top. But my attire didn’t allow me to travel in that way. In that very moment one question raised from deep in my heart “Why the hell this is happening? I have paid nearly half a lakhs as tax for this government, why the hell I am not finding space in the bus, atleast to stand”. “Think! Am I asking a wrong question?” This thought was puzzling me for a long time. Simple thing I have paid so I should get, that doesn’t mean that people who are not paid will not get. We have paid a part on their behalf also. I am just saying I have the rights to get, because they have promised me that I will get it. Or may be I have to raise my tax to get the space in the bus, but still even after raising I dint find, So, What I should do?

Why there is no accountability in any of these kinds of systems? (As far as I know). I still see people who take auto from the same bus stop to the same office for 60 rupees which would costs only 6 rupees only. And they bargain with the auto driver for 5 rupees (I am not saying that, already they have lost 55 rupees why to bother about another 5 rupees :), may be return on time invested is better than this :)).

But for every penny I get, my tax man has all sorts of Xyz/Greek/French category introduced to take 30% out in the name of tax. Why shouldn’t I ask such a question? I think I am right on some sense “Every penny I give should be used for some rightful cause”.

Funny thing is “its takes about 40 minutes to reach 5km in Indian Silicon Valley”. Its not Silicon Valley may be it’s just a terrific traffic valley. May be I should sing “Baby you are gonna miss the plane, I know” :)

"Hope"-- the movie

The words perseverance, hope; I never thought would impress me that much until I watch this movie. “Hope is the good thing, may be the best of all good thing that will never dies”. Is that quote which made me think about the intensity of the word “Hope”? I really think there is so much to think before we utter these words.

I never got so much observed by a movie. A movie which has changed my thought process say the way you portrait yourself. Check this dialogue “Get busy living or Get busy dying”. Man how this guy, “Frank Darabont” would had made these character. I adore Frant Darabont. The "Shawshank redemption" is the movie I was talking about. A movie starts in a prison with Andy and Red which made a never lasting impression in my mind.

An advice, if you are frustrated or if you want to achieve anything or if you lag self-confidence. Then you are the right viewer to check this classic which will change your life for ever.

Andy and Red with Frank will change your life the way you want.

Paradigm shift

Its been quite a some time I started scraping my thoughts, now few thoughts started bothering me I wanted to post as a process to improve my writing skill and to share my thought process. Last saturday, I was out to meet my good old college seniors who has been my mentor and gave inputs to improve me Mr.Bals and few others. We planned to have dinner at some good restuarnt in cmh road, which is famous for something else than food. We met few other seniors also.

Its about six people finally started asking about their travel, marriage plans and I was watched around, because what they spoke doesnt interest me than what I was watching. Soon after some time, I gave attension when they attered the word "work". I know, people all are in Tech lead, partly manager, Research Engineer, senior analyst., but a few only liked what they where doing. But rest cant move out of this job.

They had many reasons to say that, "They cant move out". They said family, work, status, money, travel what not. Its boils down to final word the paper called 'money'. I just questioned them just proceed what you want to do, after some time, money will flow into your pocket, why your thinking that you cant do what you wanted to do.They said a lot.,[I understand one more thing, We speak a lot and we mean (really mean) only about 20~30 %, rest all we are speaking to the enviroment or the situation and for some body.]

Think of a "Paradigm shift"., where you can do what you wanted to do, you might like to do Painting, violinist, teach maths for school kids, gardening, cooking, surgeon, anything that you wanted to do or feel like doing, but for all work we all will be paid the same. But dont put lot of logic into this thought and ask what will business people do or its impossible. Just imagine a world where you will do what you want to do really, you will also have money to live. Is that a Paradigm shift ?. I dream about this place daily and always want to make my current place look like that.

I read in some book, I guess its from Fountain Head, "Your gonna work for 40 years from now, Do what you like to do, Else ur gonna waste your time and you regret at the end. U cant even change that."

Just do what you wanted to do, Then its no work, only play :-)..

The V-day, Feb 14

Its a auspicious day with a awesome evening to cheer for. As I was waiting in the corner of the corridor for her to come out of the evening class. As the bell rangs, my heart started to pump twice the normal. I was fully excited with lot of enthu, faith, bit of hesitation to start. As usual friends are giggling around. I found her walking slowly and silently giving a small sign asking me to follow her. In the midst of evening sun, in garden where you can only find roses in and around her as her friends. I plucked a rose and said to her from my heart "I love .................(full mute)......
